
Refer to the Belt Tension Chart shown to select the cor-
rect gauge and tension values for the belt width.
A belt is considered used if it has been in operation for
at least 10 minutes.
Tighten the two capscrews.
Torque Value: 108 N•m [80 ft-lb]
Measure the belt tension again using service tool, ST-
1138. Adjust if necessary.
When satisfactory belt tension is obtained, loosen the
adjusting screw 1/2-turn to prevent breakage.
Engine - Removal From the Rebuild
Stand
Use a lifting fixture, Part No. ST-125, and a hoist with a
minimum lifting capacity of 4.5 M ton [5.0 tons] to lift the
engine.
Attach the lifting fixture to the hoist and the lifting bracket
as shown.
